Madam, - I have worked for many years as a marketing manager and Lord knows we're ones for stretching the potential of the English language. However, hats off to Douglas Newman Good in Dún Laoghaire for taking this licence to new heights.
The firm is currently advertising a house for sale in Killiney Village in south Co Dublin, and extols the virtues of "Killiney village which has a host of amenities, ie schools, shops, churches of all denominations, pubs, restaurants and ample leisure facilities".
If any of your readers are familiar with the lovely Killiney village, they'll know it contains exactly one pub and one corner shop, a handful of houses and nothing else.
