Sir, – Paul Higgins's letter (July 22nd) highlighting the importing of onions from New Zealand to Ireland brought tears to my eyes.
With a Government focused on all things green, should we not be encouraging our farmers to start growing “best in class” Irish onions?
According to health experts, onions are good for you.
