Sir, - The heading of your article on above subject (January 20th) is somewhat misleading in that it states that 30 Irish students will take the Leaving Cert in Libya. Indeed, none of the Leaving Cert class at the International School in Tripoli is Irish although there are five Irish children attending the elementary school there.

The candidates who will sit the Leaving Cert next June come from the following countries: Bosnia, Libya, Britain, Philippines, Egypt, Nigeria, Sudan, Bulgaria and Slovenia. It is the number of non Irish nationals taking the exam for the first time which makes this year's Leaving Cert an historic occasion. - Yours, etc.,
