Sir, - What about a round tower, similar to the one that was so skilfully and proudly constructed recently in Belgium, as a millennium monument for O'Connell Street on the site of Nelson's Pillar? Why not look back through a previous millennium for an architectural style, rather than forward to some very modern structure that may not be pleasing to the eye of all Irish citizens?
