MICHEAL JOHNSTON,
Madam, - Today's story (November 25th) told us everything except who were the Ministers for Transport and/or Public Enterprise in the 1990s. There were five of them in all: 1990-1992 - Seamus Brennan; 1992-1993 - Maire Geoghegan Quinn; 1994 - Brian Cowen; 1995-1997 - Michael Lowry; 1998-1999 - Mary O'Rourke. Only one of them is alleged to have expected us to buy Christmas presents for them to give to their friends. - Yours, etc.,
MICHEAL JOHNSTON, Burdett Avenue, Sandycove, Dun Laoghaire.

Madam, - If a Government Minister needs 14 days to come up with a straight answer to a straight question should his qualifications for the position be reviewed? -Yours, etc.,
DICK O'RAFFERTY, Ailesbury Grove, Dundrum, Dublin 16.
