Sir, - I agree with Kevin Myers (Irishman's Diary, December 10th) about the appalling "musical" content of Mass today. If one is in any doubt, just tune in to RTE1 any Sunday morning and listen! That is, if you can endure this inane sound for 30-40 minutes.
The Mass on RTE1 is usually followed by a Protestant service with more traditional church music and hymns, and is always pleasant to the ear.
If God is a music-lover he must have left the Church soon after the Second Vatican Council, if only to hear better music. Not a bad reason to convert. - Yours, etc.,
