Madam, - In the course of his interview with Emmet Oliver (June 3rd) Mr Adrian Moynes, RTE's head of radio, rejects the contention that RTE has done little to cultivate young radio talent.
He goes on to say that, when major figures go on holidays, there are opportunities to test people out.
I may well be missing something but the recent return to the airwaves of Gay Byrne at noon on Saturdays would not appear to be in tune with the policy enunciated by Mr Moynes. - Yours etc.,
