Sir, – John Stephenson (December 31st), who saw a honey bee on his mother's shasta daisies just before Christmas, might be interested to hear that we saw a bumble bee on New Year's Eve. It was on our Solanum jasminoides, which is still in full flower. Not all non-smokers huddle indoors, as was suggested, as some are always busy in the garden! – Yours, etc,
