A chara, – Paul Williams (February 7th) writes of the “scorn” heaped on Nigel Farage during his recent trip to Ireland and extols his role in helping the UK to leave the EU. Your letter-writer is probably far enough away in Co Clare not to have to worry about a hard border and the Brexit that Mr Farage and right-wing Tories crave. However, many of his fellow countrymen, in the other 31 counties, will wonder where the UK – never mind Ireland ditching EU membership – will take us all. – Yours, etc,
