A chara, – There seems to be something of a crusade developing at present against the influence of the Catholic Church in the primary school sector, and one would almost get the impression that parents everywhere were being forced into accepting a system that they felt no part of.
Yet if you look at the numerous nativity dramas being enacted by small children up and down the country in these days leading up to Christmas, and their parents aglow with pride in the audiences, you would have to conclude that the situation is not quite as straightforward as the proponents of change would have us believe. – Is mise,

A chara, – Let’s reverse the rule and say anyone with a baptismal certificate should rank last for entry to an educational establishment. Who would think this rule was non-discriminatory?
The State should make clear that no discriminatory educational organisations should be funded and that all children should achieve equality before the law.
If ethos of any kind is important to parents, they can take the trouble to impart it themselves. – Yours, etc,
