Sir, - The front page of last week's Education & Living supplement bears the title "brains to burn" - under which there is a montage of photographs of well known Irish people - presumably selected as a representative sample of the "intelligentsia" of Ireland.
On behalf of the 935 female students of the secondary school of which I am principal, may I ask why 21 photographs are of men and seven are of women? Was this intentional or was it just considered to be a clever arrangement of photographs? - Yours, etc.,
