Sir, - Eddie Holt (News Feature, November 15th) seems vexed by what he calls the President's "rudely trenchant" reference to "a wonderful millennium gift to the Child of Bethlehem, whose 2,000th birthday we will soon celebrate". He bemoans the fact that Muslims, Jews and other non-Christian religious groups "can hardly have felt thoroughly included after that."
How small minded! Will we just remove the "Christ" in Christmas and call it solely Xmas to kow-tow to the non-religious? The latter are much more broadminded than Mr Holt gives them credit for. - Yours, etc., Brenda Morgan,
