Sir, – John Kelly (October 2nd) correctly asserts that 87 per cent of primary teachers are female and suggests gender quotas. The gender imbalance, however, does go in the opposite direction when it comes to promotion – 50per cent of primary school principals are male. In classrooms all around the country, we are teaching our children the lesson of gender inequality. – Yours, etc,
