Sir, – I wish to take issue with The Irish Times for publishing the photograph of December 23rd that clearly showed the faces of some of the people queuing outside the Capuchin Centre in Dublin last Thursday for food parcels.
Surely the photograph could have been edited so that people were not readily identifiable?
I fully appreciate the newsworthiness of the photograph but I believe the media in general should be more sensitive when dealing with people who find themselves in unfortunate circumstances. – Yours, etc,
DAN EGAN,
