Sir, – I know that minimum wage employees will be dreaming of buying a new hessian overcoat every two years after the recent wage rise recommendation, but perhaps they should simply save this proposed windfall ("Minimum pay report calls for increase of 10 cent", July 20th).
Then, after 150 years, and with the benefit of medical science, they will have the average deposit for a home.
In the meantime, their employers will continue to enjoy the fruits of the labour of their tied employees. – Yours, etc,
