Remembering victims of Tunisia attack

Sir,– The Berkeley tragedy rightly dominated news headlines and official discourse in Ireland for days.

It strikes me that the reaction of the Irish media and establishment to the execution of Irish citizens in Tunisia has been strangely muted: surely a statement from President Michael D Higgins and a visit to the region by a government minister would have been justified. I humbly suggest that we in Ireland either hold our own minute’s silence in memory of those murdered or join with that which has been organised by the British government on Friday. – Yours, etc, THOMAS WALLACE- O’DONNELL, Ennis Road, Limerick.
