Sir, – So it’s sad to stay at home on bank holiday weekends (“What’s Hot, What’s Not”, Magazine, July 25th)? But it ain’t necessarily so. Born and bred in Dublin and living there all my life, I love being in Dublin during long bank holiday weekends, when many of the “blow-ins” from the rest of the country return to whence they came and the “true Dubs” can – albeit temporarily – regain possession of their beloved city, the city of the Pale. – Yours, etc,
