Madam, - I want to express my concern about the increase in the number of racially motivated incidents reported by ethnic minorities since the citizenship referendum.
Ten years ago, sections of Irish society used to blame and attack single parents on issues relating to social welfare and housing. I though we had moved on. Now they blame asylum-seekers, refugees and migrants. Politicians have got to lead on this important issue. The Government should put their money where its mouth is and publish its promised anti-racism strategy.
We all have a duty to work against racism. - Yours, etc,
