Sir, May I say, through the columns of your paper, congratulations to all those involved in BBC2 and RTE for making the television programme on Samuel Beckett.
It would be wonderful if the State were now to purchase his home, Cooldrinagh House, with its nice garden and also the pond he created, for the people of this State and his admirers all over the world. The area where the house is situated is now being rapidly built over. it is urgent to save Cooldrinagh House in the same way as Bernard Shaw's house was saved by the State. - Yours, etc.,
Terenure Road West,
