Sir, - So Sinn Fein now approves of co-operation with the British census (The Irish Times, April 9th)! Can we take it that it now agrees that demography is, and always was, the inevitable engine for change in the North - a conclusion reached decades ago by rational people who abhored the squalid, self-indulgent campaign of violence - including the harassment murder of census-takers, and the murder of one? "Sunningdale for slow learners". Now the census! What next? At least Sinn Fein now appears to be joining the real world. - Yours, etc.,
