Madam, - E.F. Fanning (November 21st) finds it ironic that political parties failed to support the Sinn Féin Dáil motion on reunification while, at the same time, "their newly discovered republicanism" was manifested in proposals such as the restoration of the Easter military parade, the Collins 22 Society, etc.
