Sir, While the versatile strengths and abilities which your sports correspondent, Mr Gerry Thornley, possesses must pose dilemmas for your publication as to where he should be at what time and at what sport, surely his coverage of Wimbledon 1995 should have ensured his presence at the same tournament in 1996, or at least, at the US Open of the same year.

I'm sure I speak for a lot of tennis fans when I say that the sport need not necessarily make for boring reading. Wimbledon 1995 was enormously entertaining. Yours, etc..
