Sir, – The DUP, despite wishing Northern Ireland to be treated in a similar fashion to the remainder of the UK, has constantly blocked basic human rights which have been long enshrined in England, Scotland and Wales.
Quite a number of Commonwealth member countries have a similar worldview as the DUP regarding LGBT rights and yet Fine Gael delegates saw fit to applaud Sir Jeffrey Donaldson’s ludicrous suggestion that we sign up to the Commonwealth again. And don’t tell me that they were just being polite. – Yours, etc,
