Madam, - The cringe-making holiday homes of Donegal are a historic source of much debate in my Dunfanaghy homestead. After years of random ribbon development in the area we've evolved to the more orderly parking-lot concept of empty holiday homes.
An unexpected benefit of this phantom "community" is that the future of Donegal planning is now safe in their hands. Denise Ní Dhuibhir (October 28th) can take comfort from the knowledge that they keep a close eye on the planning notices in the local papers.
If Ms Ní Dhuibhir has her eye on a site in Dunfanaghy I would urge her to revert to her presumed mother tongue in the wording of her planning notice. - Yours, etc.,
