Sir, - At a time of increasing inflation fuelled by the apparently insatiable needs of many, especially those involved in obscene speculation and wealth accumulation, the so-called Programme for Prosperity and Fairness has, to my mind, little or no relevance to a significant percentage of the population further isolated on the margins of Irish society.
For the majority of citizens who have seen no real benefit from the Celtic Tiger this programme could be better described as a Programme for Poverty and Fragmentation! - Yours, etc.,
Peter Gaughan, Monkstown, Co Dublin.
