Madam, - May I respond to the letter from Adrian Carroll (December 31st)? His quotation is from the English translation of the Constitution; the name of the State (in the English language) is Ireland.
I would be mildly affronted if visiting British government officials did not know that. Would they refer to Spain as España? I suppose that as long as they do not refer to "Southern Ireland" we should not be too offended! - Yours, etc.,
