Madam, - May I be so bold as to suggest that, in preparation for the coming general election, each political party should be allocated a different coloured plastic tie to be used for attaching their election posters to lamposts?
In this way, any ties left behind when the posters have been removed will be the identifiable responsibility of a party. Would it be a step too far to further suggest that a biodegradable material be used for making these ties? - Yours, etc,
