Sir, – Kathy Sheridan ("Fighting with UK over vaccine hardly worth the effort for EU", Opinion & Analysis, March 24th) calls to "let EU values prevail". That is little comfort to my parents still waiting to hear anything from the HSE about their Covid vaccine, nine weeks after they could have received it if they lived with me in the UK.
I hope one of the values the EU focuses on for the future is improving competence and accountability. – Yours, etc,
