Madam, - I read the report on your front page of Saturday, May 15th, with mixed feelings. The Vatican is advising women to think hard before marrying a Muslim man. In a similar vein, should someone be advising parents to think hard before having their daughters baptised into the Catholic Church?
In Dublin we have just experienced the "Say 'Yes' to God" campaign for the priesthood. But no women need apply. What sort of a God does this portray, and how is it in the best interest of girls and women to subscribe to the image of a God who invites only boys and men? It is not the God of the experience of many Catholic women. - Yours, etc.,
