Sir, – There are enough octopus-like tentacles all over the place at present without giving them to vultures! Your article's headline (Business, March 20th) and its mixed metaphor about vulture funds getting their tentacles deep into Irish lives missed that the vulture, as other raptors, uses its very strong, sharp and penetrating talons.
Either way, irreparable social damage is being done for which we need an urgent and effective remedy. – Yours, etc,
