Sir, – This drought makes the benefits of water charges obvious. Water meters would reduce wastage, identify leaks and increase investment in water infrastructure. We would be better prepared for challenging weather events that appear to be occurring more frequently.
A functioning system of water meters would reduce the likelihood of drastic measures, such as the hosepipe ban, occurring again in the future. – Yours, etc,
