A Chara, - I refer to letter from Mrs Ronnie Madden of Limerick regarding travel at Christmas (November 14th).
On St. Stephen's Day - Thursday, December 26 - Bus Éireann will asusual provide a limited service on all major Expressway routes, rangingfrom one to six trips each way depending on the route.
In Cork city services will run as on Sundays, including the airportservice, and a limited service will run on suburban routes as well asto Fermoy, Kinsale and Macroom. A limited service will also be providedon the Limerick/Shannon and Ennis/Shannon routes.
It has been our experience that this range of services meets therequirements of people who need to travel on that day. It is many yearssince we provided long distance buses on Christmas Day and the numberof people travelling was so small that we could not justify the costsinvolved. - Is mise,
