As predicted, Donald Trump was the overwhelming first choice to be the Republican candidate in the 2024 presidential election among Iowa’s Republicans in what was the most bitterly cold caucus night on record.
The other key contenders in this opening round of the nomination process, Ron de Santis and Nikki Haley, came a distant second and third, raising questions about the viability of their campaigns.
