On Monday morning, former British prime minister David Cameron made an unexpected and sudden return to the frontline of British politics when he was named the country’s new foreign secretary.
The announcement followed news that Rishi Sunak had sacked his divisive home secretary Suella Braverman as part of a cabinet reshuffle. James Cleverly, who was the UK’s foreign secretary, will take over Braverman’s role as Home Secretary.
