The 34-year-old was elected as a TD for the first time in 2020 and has topped the poll this time in Galway West despite her first preference votes dropping by 300.
A niece and namesake of the IRA member shot dead by the SAS in Gibraltar in 1988, she was elected to Galway City Council for the first time in 2024.
A native of Mervue on the east of the city, she lost her council seat in 2019 before making it to Dáil Éireann the following year when she polled 8,464 first preferences.
She was appointed chair of the Public Accounts Committee in October following the resignation of Brian Stanley from Sinn Féin and is the party spokesperson on Further and Higher Education, Innovation and Science.
