With an ever-increasing number of people living in cities, Evergreen addresses the continuing disconnection between urban dwellers and nature by working to make these cities more sustainable and liveable. With a focus on community and diverse cultures as a source of innovation, Evergreen finances, trains and helps people to take ownership of improving their urban landscape through creative problem-solving. Since 1991, Evergreen has contributed to the greening of 3,000 urban school grounds and 2,000 projects in parks and public spaces – transforming barren asphalt into thriving green spaces across Canada. Evergreen is working with a number of potential partner organisations to explore the most appropriate entry into Ireland.
