An odd one, this. Borussia Dortmund striker Marcio Amoroso found a coin on the pitch during the Bundesliga game against Borussia Moenchengladbach and threw it away.

Alas, it hit an 11-year-old girl on the head and, would you believe it, she's been suffering from a bloody awful headache ever since. "I remember that I threw a coin back to the crowd, but only very soft," said Amoroso. "I am so sorry, a girl was hit so hard by this. I have my own daughter that age. I am endlessly sorry."

But? The child's father is planning on suing the player. "If I sue him, it is not about money," he, um, insisted, "I just want people to take care of what they throw away."
