Earliest golfing memory? Playing golf with my dad on the links at Ballycastle when I was about eight years old.

First victory? Probably a Fred Daly (youths) win at Royal Portrush. I had to wait until I was 20 for the next one, when I struck Gold at the British Transplant Games.

First time to break 90? As a teenager at Ballycastle.

Last bit of equipment? Earlier this summer when I bought the new Titleist driver. Going well so far but when the price sticker comes off . . . ?

Last time you took a cart and why? Playing in America a few months ago simply because I had to.

Normally I don't. I enjoy carrying my bag and have made a vow to do so until old age means I need a cart.

Which of the Majors would you like to attend and why? I attend the British Open every year but have never been to Augusta. The plan is to go there next April.

Every year I hear the pros explaining why the Masters is so special, and I would like to sample that experience.

Ideal fourball: who and where?  Me, my hero Seve Ballesteros, and my two golfing media mates Mike Nesbitt and Chris Moore at the City of Derry Pro-Am at Prehen - my favourite golfing weekend for the last 10 years. I think we could bring him down to our level as we do with the rest of the pros.

One last round on earth: where would it be? Can I have two? Augusta National and/or Royal Portrush.

Ralph Lauren or Lyle & Scott?  Ralph Lauren.

Is the Titleist ProV1 worth the extra expense? I think that it probably is worth the extra money, if only for the feel it gives you on the greens. But I also enjoy using the new Srixon ball, which is very good.

You're 140 yards from the green. It's flat and calm. What's in your hand? Nine iron.

Favourite club in times of trouble? Eight iron chip and run . . . instead of a shanked wedge, which is a speciality of mine.

Parkland or links? Links every time.

Must-see golfing destination? Stone Canyon in Tucson, Arizona. A breathtaking course. No rough, just rattlesnakes.

Hidden gem? Probably not that hidden nowadays because the word has well and truly spread in recent years of just how good a course it is, but Portstewart is one of my favourites.

One Mulligan in life? Didn't you know? I always hit the perfect shot (even the shanks are perfect).

You see, I'm in the middle of doing a television documentary on Graeme McDowell, and he's a devotee of neurolinguistic programming (NLP) - the power of positive thinking - so it has obviously rubbed off on me.
