Age is proving no barrier to the exploits of one of Foxrock's more distinguished members. Last March, Cecil D Colter celebrated his 86th birthday, a fine achievement. And recently he proved that he had lost none of his skills and talents around the golf course.

Playing in the singles competition, Cecil - who nowadays plays off a handicap of 19 - recorded a highly impressive 38 points, which was good enough to claim third place in the prizes.

That 38 points total amounted to a gross score of 87 ... and that off the medal tees. Cecil - also a huge gardening enthusiast - is a long-time member of Foxrock golf club and plays a couple of times each week.
