CAPTAIN Phil de Glanville believes Bath have turned the Courage League corner following their 46-3 demolition of first division strugglers London Irish on Saturday. Bath's eight try triumph kept them closely in touch with rival championship challengers Wasps and Leicester.

Bath needed a 17 minute second half hat trick from England wing Jon Sleightholme to record the resounding victory their forward dominance demanded. A David Humphreys penalty was all a London Irish team containing five full internationals could muster.

In Division Two former Irish full back Simon Mason contributed 17 points as leaders Richmond beat London Scottish 37-18.
