The European Ryder Cup team will be decided on the conclusion of this week's final counting tournament, the BMW International in Munich.

Ireland's Paul McGinley has elected to play to copperfasten a place in Sam Torrance's team. He isn't going to be great value at 33 to 1, especially as he just needs to make the cut.

Other contenders outside the top 10, Ian Poulter, Andrew Coltart, Philip Price and the Spaniards Miguel Angel Jimenez all need big performances to face the USA at the Belfry next month.

Colin Montgomerie has a liking for the course and the tournament and even at 7 to 1 represents good value.
