STEVE COLLINS has fought 35 fights in his professional career, winning 32 and losing only three. Seventeen of those wins have been stoppages and he is now going into his fourth defence of the World Boxing Organisation super middleweight championship.

He finally won his world title at middleweight on May 11th, 1994 in Sheffield when he stopped Chris Pyatt in the fifth round to take the WBO middleweight title and subsequently and in sensational style won the WBO super middleweight title by beating Chris Eubank in the Millstreet Green Glens arena in Cork on March 18th last year.

Nigel Benn was been one of the most exciting boxers to emerge from Britain in the last ten years. He won the world middleweight title by beating Doug de Witt in Atlantic City in 1990 and defended it on a number of occasions subsequently although he lost to Chris Eubank in the same year.
