Making the most of a good start, when William Bradshaw finished off a cross by Philip Balbirnie, St Andrew's went on to beat Wesley in the Leinster Schools' Junior Cup final at Grange Road yesterday. Bradshaw's goal was in danger of being cancelled out in the second period as Phelie Maguire and Andrew Walker turned on the pressure for Wesley. But strong tackling by Philip Scollard and Colin Black enabled St Andrew's to prevail.
