UNLUCKY Arc third Oscar Schindler will run again this year, with the Breeders' Cup Turf emerging as the live alternative to the Melbourne Cup, his owner Oliver Lehane said yesterday.

The next target of the Irish St Leger winner is likely to be decided on "the toss of a coin" as Lehane agonises over his next move.

Lehane is being deluged with advice over what to do with the four-year-old who has been promoted to favourite for the Melbourne Cup following Sunday's performance.

Most, including trainer Kevin Prendergast, are urging him to take up the challenge for Australia's greatest horse race, in which he has been allotted an enticing 8st 13lb.

But, though the colt has entered quarantine in case he is sent to Australia, a final decision will not be made for a few more days.

"I can't make up my mind," Lehane confessed yesterday. "I don't know whether to go for the Melbourne Cup or the Breeders' Cup. It will probably come down to the toss of a coin."
