Celtic striker Mark Burchill has signed for Birmingham on a three-month loan deal with a view to a permanent £1.5 million transfer.

Trevor Francis, manager of the First Division side, has been keen to land the Scotland international for the last six weeks. He was impressed with Burchill after watching the youngster bag a hat-trick in the UEFA Cup.
