Offaly GAA club, Clara, progressed to the semi-finals of the FBD All-Ireland GAA Golf Challenge, when they won the Leinster title at Knockanally last week. The Clara team of Joe Mullins, Brendan O'Meara, Michael Sheridan, Joe Rock and Oliver Hall overcame the challenge of Leinster's finest, with a total of 120 points. Fellow Offaly team Edenderry finished a close second with 118 points while Sarsfield from Newbridge came third on 117.
Clara will now represent Leinster in the All-Ireland finals at Faithlegg golf club, Waterford on August 12th and 13th. Joining them in the finals will Ulster winners, Cavan Gaels, Munster champions Boherlahane/Dualla from Tipperary and Connacht holders Allen Gaels from Leitrim.
