Tiger Woods recorded a pair of eagles on his way to an eight-under-par 64 in Orlando yesterday, giving him a one-stroke lead over Mike Weir after two rounds of the $3 million Bay Hill Invitational tournament.

Woods sank five birdies and eagled two par-fives, the fourth and 12th holes, to stand at 11-under par 133 after 36 holes.

Canada's Weir fired a bogeyfree 64 to stand second, one stroke better than Steve Flesch and two ahead of another American, John Huston. Australia's Wayne Grady, Phil Mickelson and Skip Kendall were another shot back at 135.

Darren Clarke, the world matchplay champion completed his round with a 68 to leave him at four under for the tournament, seven behind the Woods. However, Ireland's Padraig Harrington missed the cut shooting a two over par 72 to finish on 146.
