Women's Hockey Leinster Senior CupA goal from Nikki Mooney gave second division Clontarf victory over first division Three Rock in the opening round of the Leinster Senior Cup on Saturday - and they were promptly "rewarded" with a home tie against holders Pembroke Wanderers in the second round.

Railway Union, 2-1 winners over Old Alexandra II, are away to Diocesan in the second round, while Glenanne, for whom Audrey McCormack scored twice in their 3-1 defeat of Corinthian II, have been drawn at home to Muckross.

The tie of the second round pairs Hermes and UCD while last season's beaten finalists Loreto will play Trinity, assuming they beat Loreto's seconds in tomorrow night's first round tie.

The top individual scorer of the weekend was Elaine Hickey, who got all four of Loreto II's goals in their 4-2 win over Diocesan in the second division.
