Cork Constitution crashed to their second league defeat when they lost to a vastly improved Young Munster side at Clifford Park. While the conditions probably suited Young Munster more than the Cork side, this was still an outstanding display by Peter Clohessy and his cohorts. They destroyed Constitution up front and had Aidan O'Halloran not missed with five out of six shots at goal, the margin would have been considerably greater.
Peter and Des Clohessy were in dynamic form for a side that also had Ger Earls back to his best in the back row. Derek Tobin made a welcome return after injury at scrum-half and proved the ideal general.
