SOCCER:PETE Mahon and Paul Cook must turn their attention back to the title race tomorrow as St Patrick's Athletic and Sligo Rovers, both well beaten in their midweek Europa League ties on Thursday evening, take on UCD and Dundalk respectively tomorrow afternoon, reports EMMET MALONE
St Patrick’s have a doubt about their skipper, Stephen Bradley, who limped out of the Karpaty Lviv game during the first half, while leading scorer Danny North is suspended.
Ian Daly and Conor Kenna are both in contention to reclaim starting spots, however, and the St Patrick’s players will be keen to put the controversy that preceded Thursday’s game as well as the defeat itself behind them.
UCD, who have had Paul Corry on trial with Brighton over the past week, are without Samir Belhout who is suspended.
In the day’s other top flight game, Sligo Rovers head to Oriel Park aiming to pick up where they left off with their league form but they travel without Jason McGuinness who serves a one-match ban. The hosts have Colin Hawkins, Eoghan Osborne and Stephen McDonnell all out but Jason Byrne and Ross Gaynor return from injury.
